Challenge 55 - String Theory VIII - Moebius Strip

Using a tangleation of Molossus' tangle Thlychum I really got some good 3D action on this tile.

Challenge 54 - Purple Haze

The Diva's Challenge this week is Purple Haze.  I added some purple accents with a Sakura Permapaque marker that I was able to grab quickly this morning before I ran out the door.

Fun with Fengle

Had a lunch time zentangle group to try out new tangles with a couple workers who have taken my classes. Very fun.  Showed them a new tangle called Fengle that was introduced to CZTs.

Challenge 53 - Undine and cards

I had been thinking about creating some Valentine's Day cards and Undine was the perfect tangle to start off with (upper left section of the first card).  This got me thinking that I should try using tangles that I haven't tried before.  I bought myself a mini journal to keep new tangles in and had a lot of fun creating the cards in the picture below.  I found some really great tangles on Carol Ohl's blog and Margaret Bremner's.  Both CZTs and both amazing artists!

New Tangle - Ojo

I just recently went through some old tangling stuff and found sketches of patterns I found in some library books several years ago - way before my blog and the thought of putting my own patterns out there.  Here is the first which I call - OJO.  As I was coming up with the steps I first thought it looked like a bug and then I noticed that it looked like an eye with really long pretty eye lashes.  My long ago experience with Spanish immediately brought up the word for eye in Spanish and voila (that's all the french i know) we have OJO.

Catching up

Challenge 50 - Biggify

Challenge 51 - Fife

My own challenge

After a very busy holiday season it is great to be back at home and getting back to my routine.  I decided I really wanted to try out some of the great tangles folks have come up with to add to my bag of tangles and did my own challenge while the Diva is taking a well deserved break.  The tile entitled "My own challenge" features two new to me tangles: Wellenstil by Neil Burley and Nerfy by Jane Monk Studio, CZT.
